Trick or Treat

We went trick or treating in our neighborhood this year on Halloween! It was a lot of fun. Aidan was supposed to be Reepicheep, the valiant mouse from The Chronicles of Narnia, but Mommy couldn't find his sword. So he was just a plain old 3 foot tall talking mouse. Imogene was a beautiful princess. She picked the colors for her tutu ball gown. Turns out that ball gowns are not ideal for trick or treating. Especially when every house in your neighborhood has stairs and it has been raining. I was a dragon. I was not expecting to go, but Daddy really wanted to take me. Mommy didn't think the dragon costume would fit me, but as you can see, she was wrong. I fell asleep after the first house. I knew they wouldn't let me have candy anyway, so what was the point? Imogene wanted to trick or treat until her whole bucket was full. Mommy told her that was hardly necessary. Aidan was happy to stop after he realized a few houses in that he had Milk Duds in his bag. He could have stopped then and been very happy. In the end, we did the rounds in our neighborhood only, then returned home. I think I'll have more fun next year when they'll let me eat some of the candy! I was a pretty cute dragon, no?- Emery

Corn "Maize"

We went with the youth group at Faith Methodist (where Daddy is the pastor) to a corn maze! It was kind of cold. We made it through the maze without getting too terribly lost. Daddy got us warm chocolate (Daddy said it was hot chocolate, but I politely informed him it was warm, not hot) at the corncession stand. They had a jumping thing that we thought was fun. It got warmer after we did the maze, so we didn't have to jump in our big coats. Mommy & Emery were with us, but Mommy was taking pictures, so we've got no proof she was with us. You'll just have to believe me. - Imogene

My First Potty Prize!

I have been asking to use the potty for a few weeks now. Mommy lets me go anytime I ask! (And I ask a lot.) Mommy & Daddy give me a sticker every time I use the potty. They put my stickers on a card on the bathroom door. Daddy told me whenever I filled up the whole card, he would give me a prize! Well, I got my very first potty prize and am now working toward my second! I really like to use the potty. And I really like prizes! (The Tigger-Poot, that is what I call Tigger, is my prize!) - Aidan

Wish Lists

At your request, Mommy has made us wish lists to help with your Christmas shopping.

My favorite color is yellow. I like fancy things. I like tea parties. I love stuffed animals and dolls. I still put everything in my mouth (and the boys are around) so Mommy says no small parts for me yet. I like to be read to. Mommy is currently reading me The Chronicles of Narnia. I wear a 4T in clothes and a size 9 in shoes. (And my feet grow fast!) I love wearing hats and hairbows. - Imogene

I like to read. I like to read. I like to read. I enjoy being destructive. I like fluffy toys, too. I wear a 24 month or 2T in clothes and a size 7 in shoes. I really like magnets and puzzles. Mommy says no small parts for me yet because of Imogene and Emery. - Aidan

I am just learning to play. I like all things musical. Music captivates me. I'm a big boy! I wear a 9 month in most clothes. (If they are made small, I'm already in a 12 month.) Right now I just like to observe (and hit) things around me, but pretty soon I'll be ready to interact! - Emery

Are These MY Pants?

I was playing and I took my clothes off so I could put some more on. Aidan took his pants off, well, because he is a boy and boys like to run around in their diapers. I picked up Aidan's pants and put them on. As you can see, they fit just fine. Right? Wait. Those aren't capri pants? Oh. And the pockets should be toward the front? Yikes. But it has a drawsting! And drawstrings go... oh yeah, they go in the front too. My bad. I still look cute though, right? - Imogene
